Golf Card is pround to announce that our cards will be available through Walmart.com. We feel this partnership will strengthen our brand equity and value moving forward. This should also open the doors to more opportunities for new courses.
Golf Card International is proud to announce the new Handicap System is in place. When you login to your account, you will notice some changes. You can still access your old handicap card, but moving forward you will have to input your scores into our new system. It is much easier to use and all courses have been loaded with their slope/rating/par. You only have to select the course (with auto-fill as you type), then enter the date, tee played and score.
We are also proud to announce that if you have a twosome membership, both players now have the ability to create a handicap. If a course is not in our system, simply click the "Course not listed?" link and let us know the course name, city and state and we will input their data within 24 hours.
We are pleased to announce Member-Guest tournaments for summer and fall, visiting two of our most popular venues. On Wednesday, July 24, we will be returning to The Villa Roma Country Club in Callicoon, New York; and on Wednesday, October 16 we will be back at Woodloch Springs, in Hawley, Pennsylvania.
Previous member-guest tournaments at these venues have typically been well-received -- excellent 4-star courses, accommodating staff, great food and lots of prizes. We expect nothing less this year -- both courses are excited to have the Golf Card back.
You can now register for both tournaments by calling 1-800-321-8269. The entry fee for each tournament is $79 and includes golf, cart, dinner, prizes and awards. You can sign up as any number -- single, twosome, threesome or foursome.
There is a 136 player limit so we encourage early registration.
Golf Card International is proud to announce the new Golf Card International Tee Time system that should be in place in the coming month. This was a huge project for our team and we feel will bring more value to our members than they have ever seen. By booking tee times through our website, you will have confirmation of your tee time and price before you ever get to the golf courses.

El Camaleon Mayakoba Golf Club (800) 381-7054 www.ElCamaleonMayakoba.com El Camaleon is named after its diverse layout and ever-changing landscape, which bends through tropical jungles, dense mangroves and oceanfront stretches of sand with holes bordered by massive limestone canals. The indigenous and environmentally inspired design aspects are evident from the opening fairway by an imposing cenote, an ancient underground cavern that was unearthed during the initial stages of course construction. El Camaleon is the only one course in the Riviera Maya featuring two holes just steps from the Caribbean Sea.
CostaBaja Golf Club (800) 381-7054 www.Costabaja.com CostaBaja Golf Clubs Unique layout with elevation changes with incredible views of the Sea of Cortez. Troon Management provides excellent conditions and well priced value. This course puts La Paz on the golf map. Gary Player Design is known for creating golf courses that are built in harmony with the natural topography and environment, and thus shares CostaBajas commitment to preserving and protecting the surrounding ecosystem.
Cabo Real Golf Course (800) 381-7054 www.CaboRealGolf.com Cabo Real Golf Course is home to two Senior Slams, and a host of other prestigious golf tournaments, the 6,988 yard Cabo Real Golf Course designed by Robert Trent Jones II has what is considered the toughest front nine in golf in Los Cabos with elevation changes and canyon vistas to enjoy and carry. Its three spectacular ocean front holes put Cabo Real on the golf world map in 1996 when whales put on a spectacular show breaching just yards offshore during the Senior Slam golf tournament. Long considered the favorite of many pros, the Cabo Real course is a must during any visit.
Palmilla Golf Club (800) 381-7054 www.Palmilla.com From towering cacti and deep arroyos to breathtaking views of the Sea of Cortez, the signature Jack Nicklaus course offers challenges and delights. The course 6,900 yards for 18 holes is divided into the Arroyo Nine, the Mountain Nine and the Ocean Nine. Five sets of staggered tee boxes, stunning fairways, four lakes and deep shifts in elevation ensure golfers of every skill level a memorable and exciting game. Palmilla Golf Club has been rated as one of the top 100 in the world by Great Golf Resorts of the World.
Punta Mita Golf Course at Four Seasons (800) 381-7054 www.PuntaMita.com Routed in all directions across a narrow neck of land, with portions of five holes on and in one case in the Pacific and an additional three holes skirting Banderas Bay, Punta Mita is a dazzling layout. However, the course is in danger of being eclipsed by its 19th hole. No, its not the post-round watering hole, though it shares the same name Tail of the Whale. 200 yards from shore, an atoll of rock in the shape of a catchers mitt, has become known as 3-B. An optional par three with a 180 yard, into an onshore breeze, carry in the air onto a generous green that beckons from the sea. Landscaped with 1,800 palms and framed by dune-like mounds and vast waste bunkers, Punta Mita, with 5 sets of tees, is a cleverly plotted resort. The lengthy par 3s add muscle, conversely, 4 of the layouts par 5s are risk-reward teasers that average 501 yards from the gold markers.
Each week we highlight the winner of the PGA Tour and which clubs they used to help them win in our "What's in the bag" feature.

Jay asks: While playing a round of golf over the weekend, I watched this crow pick up my golf ball and fly off with it. What is the rule?
Rule: Rule: 18-1 Your ball was moved by an outside agency so, you must replace without penalty. If you can't recover your ball from the crow, you may substitute another ball.
How can I find the best method for lag putting?
This is how it works: Cut five or six pieces of string, about three-feet long each, and lay them down on the practice green, progressively farther away. Space them about three feet apart. I like to start at about 20 feet, but you can do this from 60 feet or wherever suits you. You can practice downhill or uphill. Get out a dozen balls and try to roll them so that each ball stops in-between the strings. Use your eyes - look and react to create feel for distance.
If you have a swing problem or other flaw with your game, e-mail us at memberstee@golfcard.com. Please include a brief description of what your tendencies are, what you want fixed and our Instructional Staff will consider your submission for response.
