That's right, for every full paying member, Golf Card will enroll you in Golfnet's USGA Handicap system Free of charge (a $55 dollar value). Click here to learn more
Golf Card International had created a very sophisticated handicap system but the numbers used to calculate the formula were owned by the USGA. We decided to partner with the only authorized online USGA Handicap system to bring our members more value.
Don't worry about the scores we have been asking you to input and the courses because we have already transferred that data to Golfnet. Once you login to your account on Golf Card's site, click the handicap button; you will be re-directed to Golf Card's new handicap page powered by Golfnet. You only have to login on our site. Once you have done that you will automatically be logged in on the handicap page.

Desert Willow Golf Resort - MountainView (760) 340-0015 www.desertwillow.com The Mountain View course at Desert Willow Golf Resort was designed to be a transition between the more challenging and tournament quality Firecliff course and the traditional course of fence to fence turfgrass, flowers and flowing water. Mountain View was intended to have each of these characteristics, but with it’s own distinct personality.
Desert Willow Golf Rst - Firecliff (760) 340-0015 www.desertwillow.com VOTED #1 for the 3rd Year in a row by Desert Golf Magazine as the BEST PUBLIC ACCESS GOLF COURSE!
The Firecliff golf course, measuring 7,056 yards, is a true test of skill where golfers must negotiate their way around extensive natural areas, numerous water features, and more than 100 bunkers/waste areas. While enjoying your round remember to take in your surroundings and appreciate the Desert Willow views and beauty.
Encinitas Ranch Golf Course (760) 944-1936 www.jcresorts.com Encinitas Ranch is located on a magnificent sweep of bluffs that keep the ocean in sight from all over the golf course. Really, there’s only one course in San Diego (located a little further south and once host to that US Open tournament you may have heard of) that offers a setting anything like it.
The coastal setting – which gets credit for the course never having a frost delay (knock on wood) – is only a short part of the story at Encinitas Ranch. The southern California golf course layout is appreciated by golfers of all abilities: With five sets of tees, open fairways and few bunkers, everyone has a chance to post their low score when they play Encinitas Ranch.
Temecula Creek Inn (951) 676-2405 www.jcgolf.com More than just a beautiful setting, at Temecula Creek Inn Golf Course you will have the benefits of 27 championship holes, each with a distinctive challenge so you won’t feel like you’re playing the same holes over and over – even if you’re a golf warrior playing the entire 27-hole championship golf course in the same day.
The most challenging Temecula golf course is the Stonehouse nine which demands precise tee shots in order to get lower scores. The dramatic changes in elevation and bends require accurate shot shaping and distance control. The more traditional Oaks provide golfers, fun memorable shots that will leave you thinking this was how golf was meant to be played. Oak lined fairways are forgiving and give you great looks into these glass-like greens. The Creek golf course will give you the best chance to score. An open layout with direct approaches will set you or your group up for the best shot at birdies.
Tustin Ranch Golf Club (714) 734-2106 www.tustinranchgolf.com This championship 18-hole Ted Robinson designed course offers private caddie service, unique to Orange County and extremely popular. Experience breathtaking scenery, sparkling lakes and cascading falls at this course, voted the "Best Orange County Golf Course 2009" by the readers of the Orange County Register. In addition, Tustin Ranch is a multiple-year, 4-Star recipient of Golf Digest Magazine’s "Places To Play ". Included on the grounds are a full service clubhouse, restaurant, wedding and banquet facility, pro shop, driving range, golf school, Group Outings Office and more.
Each week we highlight the winner of the PGA Tour and which clubs they used to help them win in our "What's in the bag" feature. This is a great resource to view who won each week as well as the equipment they use.

To bring more value to our Golf Card members, we have hired Jay Miller as Director of Business Development. Situation: At a par-3 hole, a player, believing his original ball may be lost, plays a provisional ball. He searches five minutes for the original ball and then plays the provisional ball onto the green. At that point, the original ball is found in the hole. What is the ruling?
Rule: Rule: 1-1 The player's score is 1. The play of the hole was completed when the player holed the original ball.
What is the best method for bump and run?
The goal here is to get the ball on the green and rolling as quickly as possible. When you are situated on the fringe near the green you will want to pull a lower lofted club such as a 9 iron. Take your normal putting stroke with the club and practice distance control. Once you learn distance control, you will start to lower your score.
If you have a swing problem or other flaw with your game, e-mail us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please include a brief description of what your tendencies are, what you want fixed and our Instructional Staff will consider your submission for response.
